Lady Gaga set for special Oscars performance
She'll hit the stage at this year's event
Lady Gaga will make a special tribute performance at the upcoming 87th Oscars, producers have confirmed.
"Lady Gaga is a once in a lifetime artist who's musical evolution keeps growing,” said Oscars producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
“We are proud to have her perform on the Oscars stage for the very first time.”
Since breaking onto the world stage in 2008, Gaga has sold over 27 million albums, 103 million singles and over four million tickets to her live shows.
She has also won six Grammy Awards – with the latest coming earlier this week for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for 'Cheek To Cheek', a 2014 Jazz-inspired collaboration with Tony Bennett.
The Oscars hosted by Neil Patrick Harris take place on Sunday 22nd February at the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood and will be televised live in more than 255 countries and territories worldwide.
Meanwhile, the 'Bad Romance' singer also recently joined a star-studded line-up on Tuesday (10th February) to honour Stevie Wonder, performing classic hits from the soul legend.
Highlights from the night included a special collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Beyonce, performing 'Jammin'', a cover of a Stevie Wonder classic.
