Kylie will receive BRITs Global Icon Award and perform at ceremony

As pop acts go you can't get much bigger than Kylie Minogue, the singer who has a BRIT nomination in the International Artist of the Year category this year. And now, the singer has been announced as a performer on the prestigious night, as well as the winner of a very special award.
Kylie, whose huge hit 'Padam Padam' saw her rein at the top of the charts last year, is set to give a stellar performance at the annual awards show, taking place in London at The O2 Arena on 2nd March.
The BRIT Awards have also revealed that Kylie is the winner of this year's Global Icon Award, which has previously been won by the likes of Taylor Swift, Elton John, Robbie Williams and David Bowie.
The news was revealed by The BRITs on social media, as they wrote: '2024 #BRITs Global Icon winner… @kylieminogue! the queen herself will also be taking the stage, you won’t wanna miss it, tune in Sat 2 March'. (sic)
Kylie said: "I am beyond thrilled to be honoured with the Global Icon Award and to be joining a roll call of such incredible artists. The UK has always been a home from home so the BRITs have a very special place in my heart. I have some amazing memories from the awards over the years and I can't wait to be back on the BRITs stage. See you at the O2!"

Kylie joins Dua Lipa who was the first performer to be announced this year, during The BRITs nominations live feed, when she also received three nominations. This will be the first time since 2021 that Dua has performed at The BRIT Awards.
RAYE will also be taking to the stage to perform on the night, with more performers set to be announced in the coming weeks.
The BRIT Awards will take place on Saturday 2nd March.
