Katy Perry To Get Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star
The singer is among the 2014 inductees
Katy Perry is among the big names getting a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014!
The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer will be honoured alongside fellow musicians Holland Dozier Holland, Jeff Lynne, Mana, Ray Parker Jr., Rick Springfield and the late Tupac Shakur who will receive a posthumous star.
Others honoured from the world of motion pictures and television include Orlando Bloom, Liam Neeson, Claire Danes, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey and Sally Field.
David Green, Chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said: "We have a great mix of celebrities and industry executives who have made Hollywood what it is today - one of the greatest entertainment destinations in the world.
"The new selections will bring great joy and fond memories for those millions who visit Hollywood each year!"
On Thursday Jennifer Lopez received the 2,500th star on the legendary Californian walkway.
The 43-year-old singer and actress said at the ceremony: "A star on Hollywood boulevard, I said I wasn't going to cry. I really am overwhelmed – it all feels kind of, I don't know, surreal.”
