Justin Bieber Booed At Billboard Awards
He was met with a mixed reaction in Las Vegas
Justin Bieber was booed by a section of the audience at the Billboard Awards in Las Vegas last night (19th May).
The singer beat Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars to the first ever Milestone Award but was met by a mix of boos and cheers when he picked up his honour.
Soaking in the crowd reaction, Justin eventually told audience: "I'm 19 years old. I think I'm doing a pretty good job.
"From my heart I really just want to say it should be about the music, about the craft. This is not a gimmick. I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously."
Referring to the negative press he’s been receiving in recent months, Justin finished: “All this other bull should not be spoken of”.
Despite the boos, it was a triumphant night for Justin – he was also named Best Male Artist and Top Social Artist.
