Jax Jones shares defiant message with fans 'I still believed'
He was told to stop working on a future hit
Jax Jones has recently shared a defiant message with fans, after he revealed one of his Platinum-selling songs nearly wasn't a hit, when his record company told him to stop working on it!
Appearing on stage at Brighton Pride, where he basically remade his hit 'Where Did You Go?' in front of his fans, he said: "I made this song last year, but my record label hated it, then it ended up going Platinum!"
The DJ continued: "It started with this kick drum, and then I added a hi-hat, and I knew it was a hit when I found this guitar. But the problem was, they said it weren't a hit, they told me to stop working on it, they didn't believe, but I still believed, so I found this fat bassline. I love playing this song because it reminds me every time that when someone doesn't believe in what you're doing, you've gotta keep going right?
"Because you never know where it might take you."
Jax then went on to play his hit featuring MNEK, 'Where Did You Go?'. The song was was a Top 10 hit for Jax last year, and as he mentioned, went Platinum in the UK selling more than 600,000 units.
Jax continues to drop hit after hit and this year he has released his Top 20 hit 'Whistle' with Calum Scott, and 'Me and My Guitar' which is the first song of his that he has sung on.
