Emeli Sande’s debut album ‘Our Version of Events’ has surpassed the 2million sales milestone!
Released 20 months ago, the Scot’s record went on to become the biggest selling album of 2012 and is still leading the top sellers list this year.
Earlier this year the album broke The Beatles’ chart record for the most simultaneous weeks in the Top 10 for a debut album after staying there for an incredible 66 weeks.
The Fab Four’s breakthrough album ‘Please Please Me’ held on to the title for almost half a century.
Since its release, ‘Our Version of Events’ has spawned three top five singles (‘Heaven’, ‘Next To Me’ and ‘Clown’) and two further top 30 tracks (‘Daddy’ and ‘My Kind of Love’).
As a featured artist, Emeli has appeared on six further top 10 singles including the number ones ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ by Labrinth and Professor Green’s ‘Read All About It’.
