Damien Hirst's BRIT Awards Statue Unveiled
It features his trademark polka dots
The 2013 BRIT Awards statue has been unveiled – cast your eyes on it below.
Designed by Damien Hirst, the statue is decorated with the influential British artist’s trademark polka dots that feature on a number of his works of art.
He commented: "I am honoured to be asked to design this year's statue, it has become such an iconic award, I love the BRITs."
Hirst is the third artist to design the BRIT Awards statue following Dame Vivienne Westwood in 2011 and the legendary Sir Peter Blake last year.
BRITs Chairman David Joseph said: “Damien is truly one of the most important British artists and his reimagining of the statue will make winning a 2013 BRIT an even more special proposition.”
Hosted once again by James Corden, the 2013 BRIT Awards are held at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday 20th February.
