Britney Spears has confirmed that her eighth studio album will be called ‘Britney Jean’.

The self-titled record is set for release in the first week of December and boasts the upcoming single ‘Work B**ch!’.

Co-written by Britney alongside will.i.am and Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso, ‘Work B**ch!’ is available to download in the UK from Sunday 3rd November.

In a recent interview with Billboard, will.i.am said that the single didn’t reflect the sound of ‘Britney Jean’ as a whole.

“The album is what the album is, but we felt that song needed to come out to keep the foundation on what Britney represents," the super producer said.

"But it shouldn't reflect the album - an album is a body of work as a collective. If we had to pick a song like, 'Oh, what song fits every colour of the record', you shouldn't do that… We felt that song represents 'Piece of Me,' that Britney oomph.

“The song is a reflection of Britney more so than the album."

Since breaking through in 1999, Britney Spears has sold over 100million records worldwide making her one of the best selling artists of all time.
