What a year it has been in the world of music! The likes of Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Sam Smith and P!nk all made music comebacks, releasing some of the biggest hits of the year including 'Shape Of You', 'What About Us', Lonely Together' and 'Too Good At Goodbyes'.
The One Direction boys all released solo material, with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson showing off their own genre of music.
Adele completed her mammoth tour but told fans she may never tour again in a handwritten note to her fans.
Lady Gaga performed at the annual Super Bowl half time show, Little Mix released a platinum edition of their album 'The Glory Days' and Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé teamed up for a 'Perfect' duet.

Ed Sheeran returned to music
Ed Sheeran returned to music with his album 'Divide', featuring tracks such as 'Castle On The Hill', Shape Of You' and 'Galway Girl'. After taking a year off, Ed's album went straight to Number 1 on the Official UK Charts.

Liam Payne released his first even solo material, including tracks 'Get Low', 'Strip That Down' and 'Bedroom Floor'
Justin Bieber teamed up with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee
Justin Bieber featured on Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's Spanish track 'Despacito'. The track broke a number of chart records and stayed at Number 1 in the UK for a very impressive 11 weeks.
Camila Cabello left Fifth Harmony
After leaving girl band Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello released solo music, including her amazing tracks 'Crying In The Club' and 'Havana'.
Little Mix dropped the platinum edition of their album
After Little Mix's 'Glory Days' album went to Number 1, the girls released a platinum edition later in the year, featuring three new songs and a full length documentary.

PSY's 'Gangnam Style' lost its title of the most-viewed YouTube video to Justin BIeber and Daddy Yankee's hit 'Despacito'. Despite only being released in 2017, it has had 4.5 billion views to date.
The Eurovision Song Contest took place
Portugal won the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Represented by former X Factor star Lucy Jones, the UK were 15th.

Rak-Su won the 2017 series of The X Factor and dropped their solo single 'Dimleo' with Naughty Boy and Wyclef Jean.
