Biffy Clyro, Kasabian and Radiohead have been unveiled the blockbuster headliners of a brand new three-day festival in Scotland.

TRNSMT Festival (pronounced ‘Transmit’) hits Glasgow Green on the weekend on Friday 7th to Sunday 9th July and is a metropolitan, non-camping event that hosts ‘some of the biggest names in music alongside the very best local talent.’

Fitting into both those brackets, Kilmarnock prodigal sons Biffy Clyro will headline on the Sunday night. Radiohead headline on the Friday with Reading/Leeds headliners Kasabian doing the honours on the Saturday.

Other acts confirmed across the weekend include Rag N' Bone Man, The 1975, Blossoms, George Ezra and London Grammar.

Geoff Ellis, Head of DF Concerts, enthuses: “We’re incredibly pleased to be bringing such a fresh, new festival to Scotland. TRNSMT will bring together the best in live music, from global acts to the best cutting edge artists on the King Tut’s Stage, powered by Utilita - against the iconic skyline of Glasgow.

“Over the next few weeks, we’ll be announcing the rest of the line-up, as well as all the additional experiences that TRNSMT will have to offer such as mouth-watering street food and a diverse offering of drinks. Stay tuned – there’s plenty more to come!”
