Beyonce To Perform At The BRIT Awards
She joins One Direction and Mumford & Sons
Beyoncé has reportedly been lined up to perform at next month’s BRIT Awards!
Although there isn’t any official word from The BRITs, numerous news outlets are claiming that Queen Bee will be the star performer at the O2 Arena ceremony on 20th February.
The pop megastar joins an impressive live line-up that already includes Muse, One Direction, Emeli Sandé, Mumford & Sons, Robbie Williams and Ben Howard.
It’s currently unclear whether Beyoncé will sing material from her as-yet-untitled fifth album or classics from her musical arsenal.
Following a triumphant 2011, which saw her headline Glastonbury, Beyoncé took time out from music last year following the birth of her baby daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z.
She already has a number of high-profile performances in the US lined up over the coming months including singing the national anthem at Barack Obama’s second inauguration on Monday (21st January) and a half-time slot at the Super Bowl in February.
Just last week, Destiny’s Child’s first new song in eight years ‘Nuclear’ was announced too.
Emeli Sandé unsurprisingly leads the charge at this year’s BRITs with three nominations – British Female Solo Artist, British Single and Mastercard Album of the Year.
Muse, Plan B, Rita Ora, Jessie Ware, Ben Howard, Coldplay, Paloma Faith and Olly Murs all received two nominations each.
Also battling it out for a Damien Hirst designed BRITs statue are Rihanna, The Rolling Stones, Lana Del Rey, The Vaccines, One Direction, Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys.
