Are Beyonce and Jay Z planning to release joint album exclusively on TIDAL?
Reports suggest it's almost complete
Reports are suggesting that Beyonce and Jay Z are preparing to release a joint album on new streaming service TIDAL.
Jay Z purchased TIDAL earlier this year, in an attempt to create a new business model part-owned by a number of high-profile artists including Kanye West, Beyonce and Madonna.
Part of the TIDAL plan is to release a range of exclusive content for paying subscribers. This has seen the likes of Rihanna and Beyonce release music videos exclusively on the service.
However Fuse host DJ Skee has now revealed that a joint album with Beyonce and Jay Z is almost complete and will be “released exclusively on TIDAL”.
He also spoke of the risk involved in the strategy, explaining that “if you make things closed in, people will always find a way around it”.

Despite TIDAL’s star-studded launch in March, the service has not yet proved a genuine competitor for rival streaming services such as Spotify and Rdio.
Earlier this week, TIDAL’s iOS app dropped out of the top 700 in the Apple Store chart, suggesting there has been less interest in the app since it launched.
