Adele Wins Golden Globe For 'Skyfall'
Will she win big at The Oscars too?
Adele has won a Golden Globe for her James Bond ‘Skyfall’ theme tune.
The epic track – co-penned and produced by Paul Epworth – triumphed ahead of Bon Jovi’s ‘Not Running Anymore’ (from Stand Up Guys), Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars’ ‘Safe & Sound’ (The Hunger Games), Keith Urban’s ‘For You’ (Act of Valor) and the Les Miserables song ‘Suddenly’.
In an entertaining acceptance speech at The Beverly Hilton ceremony in Los Angeles, 24-year-old Adele enthused: "Oh my God, oh my God! Honestly, I've come out for a night out with my friend Ida - we're new mums – we’ve literally come for a night out. I was not expecting this.
“It’s very strange to be here, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your world for a night. It's amazing, we've been *** ourselves, you know."
“I’d like to thank the Hollywood foreign press – I never thought I’d say that – Sony Pictures, MGM, Sam Mendes, Paul Epworth who I did the song with and Daniel Craig for being such a wonderful Bond.
“This for my boyfriend Simon (Knoecki) who convinced me to do it, and to my lovely son - thank you so much."
Adele will be hoping to match the Golden Globes success at The Oscars next month where ‘Skyfall’ is up for Best Original Song.
