The 2017 BRITs statues have been revealed
They represent diversity.
Today (1st December) the new BRIT Award statues have been unveiled.
Designed by Zaha Hadid these statues were one of her final commissions before she unexpectedly died from a heart attack earlier this year.
In a statement BRITs Chairman Jason Iley said,
“We are delighted with the finished statues. Like Zaha, they are innovative and original and have gone well beyond our expectations to create something special that will progress the Award into the future."
There are five different statues that will be used next year and they are designed to "represent diversity".
Zaha Hadid had an incredible career that spanned four decades and was widely regarded as one of the world's greatest architects.
Tomorrow the shortlist of the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award will be announced with the winner announced on Thursday 8th December 2016.
This year Adele won four BRIT Awards including British female solo artist and best album.
