X Factor's Christopher Maloney set for chart success in Japan

The singer released his debut single three years ago.

Christopher Maloney is celebrating after his first single entered charts in Japan, despite being released three years ago.

The singer, who finished third in the ninth series of The X Factor, released 'My Heart Belongs To You' in 2013.

It failed to get a place in the top 100 chart songs in the UK, but now the song is climbing charts in Japan.

It's after the star's nervous audition for The X Factor featured in a documentary for Fuji TV which showed his rise to fame.

Christopher appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 and finished fifth, with Geordie Shore's Scotty T winning the show.
