Sir Bruce Forsyth won't host the Strictly Christmas special
It's due to health reasons
The BBC has announced that Sir Bruce Forsyth will not be hosting this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special with his co-host Tess Daly, due to health reasons.
The 87-year-old television legend underwent an operation on an abdominal aortic aneurysm last month following a series of medical checks after a fall in his home in October.
As the Christmas Day special is going to be recorded next week, the BBC has said that it will be too early for the television legend to have made a “full recovery".
In a statement it said "Due to the long studio hours, he is unable to host the show, but will still play a part in the production."
But it confirmed that he'll record a video message which'll play on the Christmas episode.
It's believed Claudia Winkleman will join Tess Daly to host the Christmas Strictly special. We wish Sir Bruce Forsyth the speediest of recoveries!
