TV presenter Simon Thomas shares heartbreaking family photo with late wife

His words are heartbreaking!

TV presenter Simon Thomas lost his wife Gemma Thomas in November last year, just three days after she was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukaemia.

Now, two months after her tragic death, Simon has taken to his social media accounts to share a heartbreaking photo of Gemma and the couple's son Ethan.

Writing the upsetting caption of, 'Life is just so bloody unfair', the photo shows a precious moment between mother and son.

Fans and friends of the presenter were quick to send their supportive messages. One user wrote, 'It is very unfair and your pain is terrible and I don’t know how you keep going but your doing it keep it up 😇' sic, with another adding, 'No words can take away the pain, just want to send lots of ❤️.

A user with the name judithcheshire_ wrote, 'Life is often unfair and in the cruelest of ways. What you do have is wonderful memories and her legacy in her’s and your son. Team Thomas is strong even in the hardest of storms Team Thomas will prevail and go from strength to strength x💓x' sic

Earlier this week, Simon uploaded a photo of himself, Gemma and Ethan sharing a big hug before she sadly passed away last year.

He captioned the photo with, 'How very much we both miss moments like this. 💔'

Simon confirmed his wife had passed away in November last year, with a heartbreaking statement posted on social media.

Taking to Twitter, Simon shared the incredibly sad news as he wrote, 'Today I am crushed with indescribable pain. Just three days after falling ill with Acute Myloid Leukaemia, my dear wife Gemma passed away yesterday evening surrounded by her family and friends. If you are a prayer - pray for my boy Ethan. 8yrs, precious and in bits. Thank you. sic

After Christmas and New Year, Simon then shared another statement on Instagram, explaining how he was feeling as he prepared to go back to the home he shared with his wife and son.

It read, 'Since Gemma went I've managed 30 seconds in our bedroom before breaking down'. He went on to explain that the room where they slept and held each other was 'now a room of pain'.

He continued, 'Now is not the time for snap decisions and new starts, but how on earth do I deal with a house that has her creative touch woven into its very being? A house that sings Gemma?'. sic

Simon has been keeping his followers up to date with his son's progress and has shared a number of notes that he puts in his lunch box each day.

Last week he wrote, 'All you need is a little help, a little hope and someone who believes in you. I believe in you. I love you, Daddy. sic.
