Sam Gowland just threw shade at Love Island

The stars of last year’s Love Island have gone on to land some pretty big jobs. There’s been various clothing lines, Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay launched a rap career, Kem’s about to strut his stuff on Dancing On Ice and Dom Lever and Jessica Shears were invited to open a kebab shop. They’re all living the dream, tbh.

Middlesbrough boy Sam Gowland also added another string to his reality TV bow as he’s swapped the Love Island villa for the slightly colder Geordie Shore house.

Joining the cast for series 16, Sam’s now thrown some subtle shade at Love Island, saying Geordie Shore is ‘more his scene’.

“It's been one of the best things I've done and I've obviously come off and now I'm seeing a girl as well,” he told a national newspaper.

Sam’s currently dating his Geordie Shore co-star Chloe Ferry.

He went on to slam Love Island’s two drinks a night rule, explaining that’s one of the reasons he prefers being in the Toon.

“With Love Island it's only a couple of drinks a night, where Geordie Shore is more my scene. You go out, get p----- and go out and about - that's what I did anyway so that's what I think I'm more suited to it. That's what I like better."
