In news that will probably absolutely devastate fans of Riverdale, the show's golden couple - Cole Sprouse & Lili Reinhart - have called time on their real-life relationship. The pair, who play romantic couple Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper on the show, have been officially dating for about two years after meeting on the show.

But sadly, Us Weekly are reporting that they've split - with many sources telling the publication that it's over between them, with one adding that they'd kept their distance from each other at a San Diego Comic-con party over the weekend.

Although they 'mingled with cast mates', they were "rarely seen together," and another source overhead Cole telling a friend that they'd split.

E! have reported that a source told them Cole and Lili split up earlier this summer, saying that they were "not living together this season," and that although they'd been "intentionally keeping their distance from the other," they're now on "much better terms" since back filming for Riverdale.

Neither Cole nor Lili have confirmed the split on social media, but Lili has three shared photos from the event over the weekend - two of which feature Cole. The first shows Lili sat between Cole and KJ Apa, who plays Archie Andrews on their show.

The second is an official Riverdale picture that Lili shared with a super-sweet caption, 'Comic Con always reminds me how lucky I am to be part of something so special and thankfully it’s with these beautiful people. Thanks for coming out to see us this weekend ❤️.' sic

She also took to Twitter to share a cryptic tweet last week. It read, 'One must choose very wisely when considering how many f---s to give. Don’t give your f---s away so easily. Don’t let someone who is not worthy of any f---s, take your f---s away from you. Some things/people are just not worth it. 🙏🏻 amen.' sic

Many fans jumped to the conclusion that it was about Cole, but one fan explained what it was referring to, 'This has nothing to do with Cole. Cole and Lili do not live their lives on social media. But there are a few who do, and obsess over their every interaction, and continually harass them. She's addressing those people.'
