Peter Andre and wife Emily speak about their son’s health problems
He was born tongue-tied
Peter Andre and his wife Emily have revealed it was "traumatic" when their son Theo needed an operation to correct his tongue-tie.
The couple spoke to OK! magazine about their son's diagnosis with 27-year-old Emily saying, "Pete and I were both crying when Theo had his operation. It was really traumatic."
The junior doctor, who is also mum to three-year-old Amelia said, "I felt guilty, I should have looked in his mouth and thought about tongue-tie. I took him to the clinic and they said it was really severe."
In the interview Emily also spoke about how before the operation she had found breastfeeding very stressful and would sometimes feed Theo 10 times a day. She also suffered from mastitis three times and was really sick.
Since the operation six weeks ago Theo has been much better, his feeding has tripled and he has been sleeping much better.
This interview comes as Peter and Emily are trying to spend more time together before he moves to Los Angeles temporarily in a few months time for his first film role.
