Perrie Edwards defends Louis Tomlinson after airport incident
Louis was arrested following an altercation at LAX Airport
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has defended fellow pop star Louis Tomlinson after he was arrested over the weekend following an altercation at LAX airport.
The One Direction star was walking through the airport with his girlfriend Eleanor Calder when he found himself involved in a scuffle between two female fans and a photographer.
In footage released by RadarOnline, Louis can be seen running over to Eleanor after two female fans approached her. After airport security intervened, the couple were able to get away. However Louis was later arrested and then released on £16,000 bail.
During a Little Mix interview with etalk, Perrie Edwards commented on the shocking incident, saying she wouldn't know how to react unless she was in that situation herself.
She said, "It's a hard situation because you don't know how you would act unless you're in that situation, but Louis is such a nice guy."
"When you watch the video, all he's doing is protecting his girlfriend like any normal guy would, but because he's in what was one of the biggest bands in the world people are just going to be constantly on him, which I think is unfair for him and Eleanor."
One of the girls involved in the incident claimed she was thrown to the ground and has sustained an eye injury. Now reports are suggesting the girl, who hasn't been named, is considering pressing charges.

A spokesperson for Louis said he was unable to comment due to the legal proceedings but reports today are suggesting he's hired a top lawyer who's worked with a number of high profile clients in the past.
He is due to appear in court on March 29th.
