Nominations for the Bafta TV awards revealed

Nominations for the 2015 Bafta TV awards have been revealed this morning.
Leading the charge this year are Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman, with the latter given the nod for the fourth consecutive year.
Cumberbatch, who was Oscar-nominated for his role in The Imitation Game, is up for best lead actor in Sherlock – the third time he has been nominated for the role.
The 38-year-old has never won the award and faces competition from Toby Jones (Marvellous), James Nesbitt (The Missing) and Jason Watkins (The Lost Honour of Christopher Jeffries).
Colman is up for best comedy performance for her role as a vicar’s wife in British sitcom ‘Rev’. She will be fighting it out for the gong alongside against Tamsin Greig (Episodes), Jessica Hynes (W1A) and Catherine Tate (Catherine Tate’s Nan).
The 41-year-old also picked up a Bafta last year for Broadchurch and also won two awards in 2013.
The leading actresses nominated for an award include Line Of Duty star Keely Hawes, Sheridan Smith for Cilla, Sarah Lancashire for Happy Valley and Georgina Campbell who starred in Murdered By My Boyfriend.
The 2015 Bafta TV Awards will be held at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London on 10th May.
