Suits star Meghan Markle has deleted ALL of her social media accounts ahead of her marriage to Prince Harry later in the year. Kensington Palace has confirmed that the actress will no longer be using social media, having previously had accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Sky News have reported the palace as saying, "Ms Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years.
"However, as she has not used these accounts for some time, she has taken the decision to close them."
At the time of its deletion Meghan's Facebook page had almost 800,000 likes with her Instagram account having 1.9 million followers and her Twitter account more than 475,000.
Meghan, who also ran her own lifestyle blog called The Tig closed it in April last year, causing some speculation there could be a royal engagement on the cards. The Tig covered topics such as food, beauty, fashion and travel. It also spoke about strong women.
Despite the deletion of Meghan's accounts we shouldn't be sad, because it is likely, in a similar way to the Duchess of Cambridge, that Meghan will continue to be featured on the official social media accounts for the royal family.
However, if you're already missing her social presence take a look at Grazia's video all about the future bride.
Yesterday Prince Harry and Ms Markle made their second official engagement as an engaged couple at a Brixton radio station which trains youngsters in media skills. Their first official engagement was just a week after they announced their engagement in Nottingham, when the couple did a 'walkabout'.
Last November the couple announced they were engaged as Clarence House made a statement on Twitter, 'His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle.
'The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.'
Later on the venue and date were confirmed as Saturday 19th May 2018 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
At the time of their engagement the couple posed for the press, showing off the gorgeous engagement ring which was designed by Prince Harry himself.
