'Material Girl' singer Madonna has revealed that she will be keeping her twins' birth names.

The 58-year-old announced on Instagram that her newly adopted daughters are called Estere and Stelle. The four-year-old twins have been living at the Home of Hope orphanage in Malawi since they were just a few days old.

The orphanage is home to 650 orphans and is also the place where Madonna met her son David ten years ago.

In her Instagram post she encouraged her fans to get involved with the orphanage either by volunteering or donating through Raising Malawi which works with Home of Hope.

In an interview with ETonline a spokesperson confirmed that while the girls' biological father is still alive their mother died in childbirth.

Last month rumours circulated that Madonna was in the Southeast African country to adopt another child, but it wasn't until yesterday (9th February) that she confirmed the news on Instagram saying, 'I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family.'

Estere and Stelle are Madonna's fifth and sixth children, she has two biological children, Lourdes, 20 and Rocco, 16 and two previously adopted children from Malawi, David and Mercy now both 11-years-old.
