Ever since they became the first group to win The X Factor back in 2011, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson of Little Mix have certainly been strong representatives of girl power.

So today (Friday 8th March), it's no surprise the 'Woman Like Me' singers have shared a strong message to help celebrate International Women's Day.

Taking to the band's social media account, Perrie, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Jesy all spoke to the camera, revealing which women they look up to, and why they love each other so much.

Perrie said, "I think it's our job as girls to have each other's back and our sisterhood is really strong. I think all girls should stick together when their feeling down, because when girls stick together we're a force to be reckoned with."

Jade, who recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief, then said, "We've always relied on each other for seven years now. We've been through everything together, from relationships, to deaths in our family, to feeling s--- about ourselves. I don't know what I would do without those girls."

Jesy, who recently made her relationship with Love Island's Chris Hughes public, said, "The women that I look up to in my life our definitely Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne. My mam because she's been through such a a lot in her life and you'd never know it because she's such a strong, kind, beautiful woman."

In the powerful video, Leigh-Anne also added, "My mum is so strong and she's such a hard-worker and she works so hard for me and my sisters. I think I take that from her, I always try to strive to be better."

The group captioned their emotive video saying, Thank you to all the women who paved the way for us, we couldn’t have got here without you 💓 Happy International Women's Day 💕 #IWD2019'. sic
