Leonardo DiCaprio to reunite with Martin Scorsese in new film
DiCaprio will portray prolific serial killer. Could this be the role that finally wins him an Oscar?
Leonardo DiCaprio is reuniting with iconic director, Martin Scorsese to take on the challenging role of playing H.H. Holmes (Dr. Henry Howard Holmes) who is documented as one of the first serial killers.
The duo have worked together on 'The Wolf of Wall Street', 'Gangs of New York', 'Aviator', 'Shutter Island' and 'The Departed' and will surely hope that this will be the venture that wins the five times Oscar nominated actor the coveted statue.
Holmes admitted to killing 27 women in the time surrounding the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago, but many believe that number to be closer to 200. Holmes used a hotel that is today nicknamed ‘The Murder Castle' which was home to enormous furnaces, large and customacid pits. Some victims were also suffocated as they slept.
DiCaprio has taken on many challenging roles over the years and has arguably one of the most impressive CV's in Hollywood.
