Lady Colin Campbell leaves I'm A Celebrity four days before the final
ITV releases a statement confirming the news
Much loved/loathed I’m A Celebrity contestant Lady Colin Campbell has sensationally left the jungle just days before the final.
Details of the 66-year-old royal biographer’s exit remain limited but an ITV spokesperson has released a brief statement saying: “Lady C has left the jungle on medical grounds.”
Her son Dima Ziadie also confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: "I'm very sad to announce that, yes my mum @LadyColinCampb is out. She is fine. Dima xx"
It’s believed Lady C has been taken to the exclusive Versace hotel on Australia’s Gold Coast where eliminated contestants Chris Eubank, Yvette Fielding, Brian Friedman and Susannah Constantine are staying.
ITV has confirmed that tonight’s planned eviction has been cancelled. A new vote will open in tonight's show.
Paying tribute to Lady C, ITV wrote in a statement: "During her time in the jungle, Lady C locked horns with many of her fellow Campmates.
"It's fair to say she'll be missed by Kieron in particular though, who she struck up a strong bond with. Only yesterday the pair were laughing and chatting about sport, and how Lady C was a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. And, in particular, his body!
"She's certainly delivered some jungle drama over the last few weeks. For now though, farewell Lady C."
Infamous for her acid tongue and strong will, Lady C got into a series of heated rows in the jungle most notably with Brian Friedman and Duncan Bannatyne.
