Coronation Street favourite Kym Marsh has revealed to fans a secret health battle she's been going through after a mystery illness left her needing a brain scan.
Kym, who plays the role of Michelle Connor in the ITV soap, opened up during a recent interview with OK! Magazine, admitting she's been suffering since January.
Admitting she's been suffering with loss of balance and dizzy spells, Kym revealed doctors sent the actress to get a brain scan at her local hospital.
Speaking to the publication, Kym said, "It’s a horrible feeling of dizziness and being off balance, and like the floor’s uneven. The feeling of not being in complete control of my balance is scary."
The 41-year-old then added, "I was anxious when I was told I had to have a brain scan; I did worry that it might be something more sinister. The good thing is that there were no tumours or signs of multiple sclerosis.”
The news comes after Kym recently celebrated her daughter Polly's seventh birthday. Taking to her Twitter account to share a number of adorable photos with Polly, Kym wrote, '7 years ago today this little lady came into our lives and lit up our world. Polly we love you more than any words can ever express. Happy happy birthday our little miracle 💗'. sic
After the tragic loss of her son Archie nine years ago, Kym recalled to OK! Magazine the horrific premature birth of daughter Polly.
After being born seven weeks premature, Kym said, "The odds were against Polly surviving, she’s our little miracle. She’s grown into a beautiful, bright girl. I’m so proud of her, especially when I think of how it could’ve been."
Kym shares her daughter with former Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas. The I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star often shares adorable photos with his daughter on his own social media pages.
Wishing Polly a 'Happy Birthday' over the weekend, Jamie wrote, 'Happy 7th birthday to my beautìful little angel, you are a special little girl and I love you so much princess, have an amazing day!😍😘❤ Love dad x x x x ' sic
Meanwhile, Kym continues to play the role of Michelle Connor in Coronation Street.
