Kermit and Miss Piggy publicly end 'relationship'

Our favourite puppet pig and frog have announced via Facebook that they are calling time on their relationship. 'The Muppets' stars Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy have fought and made up in episodes and movies over the years but never have they officially put out a statement...untill now.

Miss Piggy wrote on Facebook: "After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship.
"We will continue to work together on television."
She added: "Our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al.
"This is our only comment on this private matter...unless we get the right offer. Thank you for your understanding."
Miss Piggy first announced the pair were engaged to be 1979, but they never officially got married.
The breaking news comes just one month before the launch of their new TV series so hopefully things won't be too tense on set!
Of course this announcement came on the day it was announced that Zayn Malik, ex member of One Direction, had dumped his Little Mix fiance Perrie Edwards.
Of course they aren't the only celebs to call time on their relationship.
