Katy Perry reveals Superbowl tattoo after amazing half-time show
The pop star played her biggest hits
Katy Perry has showed off a new NFL-themed tattoo after her explosive half-time gig at Super Bowl XLIX last night (1st February).
The ‘Roar’ singer took to Instagram to display the new tattoo, which shows the Roman numerals ‘XLIX’ inked on her finger - marking the 49th Superbowl.
She posted the image with simple caption: "XLIX".
The pop star was joined on stage by special guests Missy Elliot, Lenny Kravitz and the Arizona State University Sun Devil Marching Band during the famous NFL half-time slot.
The performance started with a montage of clips showing an alien space ship invading Earth, before Katy emerged on the set, on the back of a giant golden lion while belting out her single ‘Roar’.
She performed a variety of her biggest hits, including ‘Firework’, ‘I Kissed A Girl’ and ‘Teenage Dream’, while Missy Elliott wowed fans with versions of ‘Get Your Freak On’ and ‘Work It’.
Super Bowl XLIX was won by the New England Patriots, who beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in a thrilling game.
