John Newman talks about meeting Prince Charles, and slams his former landlord

John met Prince Charles at the Royal Variety this year and when Alex James asked him what they spoke about, he joked, "Yeah we get on man, we're cool. We just spoke about FIFA and chilling out together!

"Nah, he just said congratulations and he really liked my song and he'd heard it on the radio."

John is currently in the process of moving house and he chose to use In:Demand's interview as a parting shot at his old landlord, "My landlord, if you're listening, I hate you. He decided to throw me out because he wants to sell the house!

"I told him I'm going touring in America and would like another three months, and he said, 'Fat chance, mate. Get out!'

"I probably won't get my deposit back. Once you put a studio in your house, you lose your deposit pretty quickly! I've left 500 chicken in there."
