Jesy Nelson urges fans never to give up on dreams in important message
She's such a great role model ❤️
Jesy Nelson has been flooding her social media accounts with stunning selfies since she made the decision to quit Little Mix at the end of 2020, but the 29-year-old has today (Friday 12th February) shared a very important message with her fans.
Sharing a photo of a billboard which reads 'If You Can Dream Then Anything Is Possible', Jesy went on to tell her followers a story from her childhood of how one of her school teachers told her she wouldn't fulfil her dreams of becoming a performer.
Sharing an important message of self-belief with her fans, Jesy said, 'You can do anything you want in life if you believe it enough! I saw this today and it really took me back to being a teenager. I remember getting pulled into my head teacher’s office and she said to me, “So Jesy, what do you plan on doing when you leave school?” I said, “Well hopefully something to do with performing as that’s what I’m passionate about” She then said, “I think we need to be a bit more realistic as that’s not going to happen.”'
The former Little Mix singer then added, 'I could have gone away from that and genuinely believed what she said but I didn’t. It pushed me even more to prove her wrong!
'Don’t ever let someone crush your dream or tell you what you can and can’t achieve. You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it and believe it enough and that’s the truth! Fear can sometimes get the better of us and it can stop us going for what we really want. Turn that fear into faith and have faith that you WILL achieve anything you put your mind to.
'Believe in you ❤️'. (sic)
Fans were quick to comment on Jesy's inspirational post, with many admitting the singer has been a constant role model since she found fame on The X Factor back in 2011.
One fan wrote, 'I will never get over how much ambition and determination you’ve always had ... it gives me actual goosebumps whenever you say you’re going to do something because I know you’re going to do it ... you give me so much faith and I love you so much for that ❤️'. (sic)
Another wrote, 'You’re so inspiring and such an amazing role model!! 💗', with a third commenting, 'Thank you for always inspiring us♥️'. (sic)

After 10 amazing years alongside Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, Jesy made the tough decision to leave Little Mix at the end of 2020, admitting it had recently 'taken a toll on her mental health'.
Releasing an emotional statement, Jesy told fans, 'To all my Mixers, the past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life. We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold out shows at the O2.
'Making friends and fans all over the world I can't thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me fee like the luckiest girl in the world. You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.
'The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.
'There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process.
'So after much consideration and with a heavy heart, I'm announcing I'm leaving Little Mix. I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy.' (sic)
Meanwhile, Jesy's former bandmates were forced to postpone their 2021 'Confetti' tour earlier this week due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne will now perform around the UK in 2022.
