Jay Z, Solange & Beyoncé say they’re a “united family” following THAT infamous fight in a lift earlier this month.

Leaked CCTV footage emerged on earlier this week of a clearly enraged Solange slapping and attempting to kick her sister’s husband in a lift at the Met Gala Ball in New York on Monday 5th May. Beyoncé was filmed looking on at the incident.

The footage sparked a storm of intense speculation online about the cause of the fight and the trio remained quiet about it – until now.

Clearly hoping to draw a line under the sorry episode, a statement released late last night reads:

"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident.

"But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred.

“They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

The Standard Hotel, where the fracas happened, said yesterday that they had sacked the member of staff who leaked the footage. It’s reported that TMZ paid the unnamed person $250,000 to obtain the video.
