Iron Man star reaches out to sick child
Daniel tells bullies at school he's like the superhero
Hollywood actor Robert Downey Junior has reached out to a young boy with Cystic Fibrosis who tells bullies he’s like Iron Man.
His mum took to social media to explain Daniel’s condition and that he tells bullies he has a port in his chest, just like his favourite superhero. In a bid to cheer him up, after a child at school told him that all kids with his condition die, she asked the Iron Man star to get in touch.
Just like his character, Robert Downey Junior came to the rescue in an unusual outfit, a tiger onesie, explaining that it perks him up. He then invited Daniel to the Captain America: Civil War premiere in LA.
It’s not the first time the actor has helped fans as he famously gave a seven-year-old, born with a partially developed arm, his Iron Man bionic arm.
Captain America: Civil War comes out next summer.
