Love Island's Hayley Hughes reveals secret illness that left her on a drip in the villa

Her time in the Love Island villa didn't last too long after she was dumped from the show alongside Charlie Frederick, but it turns out poor old Hayley Hughes didn't have the best time... and we aren't talking about her chats with Eyal Booker.
The Scouse model has today revealed she was suffering from a nasty illness that left her needing to be put on a drip by the show's medical team after she endured 'severe dehydration'.
Speaking to The Daily Star, Hayley said, "I was really unwell in the villa. I was sick and stuck in bed. I was vomiting. Really sick. Love Island is not there to show you being ill. You can't expect them to put you on the screen when you're unwell. You have to make sure you are perky and active."
Hayley then added, "Obviously they're wanting to make a good show and it was a shame on the last week that I felt I couldn't deliver to my maximum."

Meanwhile, after having numerous disagreements with Charlie in the villa, the couple were the first pair to be eliminated via the public vote.
After leaving the villa, both Hayley and Charlie appeared on This Morning for a chat, leaving viewers in hysterics when refused to sit on the same sofa.

Whilst Hayley was an original girl on the 2018 series, Charlie was a late arrival and chose to couple up with the model in the first recoupling... but things didn't quite go to plan for them. 🙈
