Recalling the heartbreaking moment, the former TOWIE star said "I rang an ambulance. I ended up giving birth on my landing to this four-and-a-half-month old baby. The next minute they put me in the ambulance and this woman is going to me, Do you want to bury your baby? Do you want to sign it over for scientific research?"
Gemma also revealed how she attended the National Televsion Awards only a few hours after delivering the baby. Admitting she 'had loads of padding on' Gemma said the outside world were unaware of her the distressing trauma she had gone through.
Now the 35-year-old has appeared on today’s episode of This Morning to defend herself for the interview admitting she did feel ‘raw’ at the time but ‘needed help’ with her issues.

When presenter Holly Willougby asked Gemma why she wanted to relive painful moments from her past, the reality star admitted she didn’t do it for attention. She said "I just want to make this clear I didn't bring up the miscarriage because I want people to feel sorry for me because I know a lot of people are saying 'oh she's bringing it up now'. You do get a lot of people saying terrible things on Twitter. I did write about it in my book but after writing about it I thought I had dealt with that and had moved on. But after going in to therapy with Mandy, it was something I was still carrying around with me very heavily."
