Friends meets The Big Bang Theory as two sitcom giants come together

The cast of Friends have reunited and given fans of the show the photo they've all been waiting for, and a little extra too...

Ever since the show ended in 2004, Friends lovers have been longing to see the old gang get back together again and it has finally happened.

David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow all came together on Sunday to honour director James Burrows on an upcoming documentary recognising his achievements.

Though many fans were left disappointed by the lack of Matthew Perry who had other commitments, this was certainly made up for when the cast members were joined by the lovable geeks from The Big Bang Theory.

Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Kaley Cuoco all seemed delighted to be a part of the photo and it was the latter who posted it to her Instagram account, sending sitcom lovers into meltdown.

Let's hope Ross and co will head over to The Cheesecake Factory for a catch up some time soon.
