Coronation Street aired the highly anticipated live episode to mark ITV’s 60th birthday and everything went off without a hitch, and led to two viewers actually getting hitched!
After winning a competition on Twitter a fan called Adam won the chance to have a message written on a chalkboard in the Rovers. His message was “Katie Lowe will you marry me?”
The proposal was shown halfway through the episode and we're happy to report she said yes!

The episode started with a bang, killing off villain Callum Logan within the first 15 minutes when Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) came to rescue Sarah-Louise (Tina O’Brien) and hit him over the head with wrench.
Over 8 million viewers tuned in and reaction from fans has been extremely positive.
