Coronation Street actress Paula Lane reveals the sex of her unborn baby
The star will leave the soap later in the year
Coronation Street actress, Paula Lane, announced she is expecting her second child back in October and now she has revealed the sex of her unborn child.
Paula, who plays Kylie Platt in the soap, gave birth to her first child Arthur in December 2014 and has now announced she is expecting a baby girl with her partner Tom Shaw.
The 26-year-old confessed it was a short procedure, telling OK Magazine "We had literally just decided to try for another baby. I was pregnant a week later."
She then confessed how 'lucky' the couple have been as they had a similar situation with their son.
Reminiscing about her first birth, Paula admitted she ‘panicked’ at the shock of the pain saying “It was full-on labour and it hit me like a ten-ton truck."
The actress then said she would like the birth of her second child to be ‘much more calm’ as she plans to give birth in hospital this time round.
Paula tied the knot with Tom in a ceremony at Leeds Cathedral in 2014.
Speaking about her time on the soap, Paula said "It's been a blessing of a job. I just knew I wanted to try my hand at something else. I'm hearing good things so I'm excited about my future."
Paula has played the role of troubled Kylie Platt since 2010 and will film her last scenes on the cobbles before she leaves for maternity leave.
