Chocolate digestive lovers unite in Leamington Spa
Sorry for your loss - of a packet of biscuits
A shrine had appeared for a packet of biscuits on a Leamington Spa pavement.
The unusual find was made by University of Warwick PhD student Hugh Osborn when he was walking down the road. Talking to the Telegraph he said, "(I) felt the twinge of sympathy natural for such a horrible scene,
"The next day, my flatmate said that a daffodil and candles had appeared next to the scene and shared the image."
Keeping the internet updated he added more photos as the items left at this little shrine grew to include flowers, a note saying 'sorry for your loss' and even a graduation photo which he tweeted saying, 'Ok, I may have made this.'
Since sharing the photo Twitter users have responded joking that they should go and pay their respects, "I've never met a chocolate digestive I didn't like" said one user.
This is just the latest in unusual shrines. Earlier this month the people of Cheltenham were moved by a KFC meal which had been dropped on the ground.
Further afield, citizens of Toronto paid tribute to a raccoon which was found dead at the side of the road.
And even 'Rosie the roach' was given a send off when she was found dead in a stairwell.
