Britney Spears reveals why her Instagram has disappeared
Brit took to Twitter to update fans
Following her engagement to her long-term boyfriend Sam Asghari at the weekend, things were looking up for pop superstar Britney Spears, but fans were left worried last night when the 39-year-old's Instagram seemingly vanished.
If you're a fan of the 'Gimme More' singer you'll be aware she's an avid user of the social media platform, using Instagram to keep her fans updated during the 13-year conservatorship over her.
After Britney's Instagram page disappeared, a number of fans were quick to express their concern, with many thinking her account may have been deactivated without her permission.
But after seeing the messages, newly-engaged Britney was quick to reassure her fan base, taking to Twitter to admit she's taking a break from social media to enjoy her engagement.
She wrote: 'Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement 💍😉 !!!! I’ll be back soon 💋🌹✨'. (sic)
It was last weekend when Britney and Sam announced their engagement, with the singer sharing a very excitable video with her fans.
Britney, who has been dating Sam for nearly five years, wrote alongside the vid: 'I can’t f---ing believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!'. (sic)
Iranian-born actor Sam also confirmed the happy news, with the 27-year-old's manager releasing the following statement: "The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them.
"He couldn't be happier to be involved and make this one-of-a-kind ring."
