Britain's Got Talent finalist dies aged 18 of bone cancer
Ryan Howell, a young singer who starred in Britain's Got Talent with Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud has died aged 18 of bone cancer.
Ryan Howell, a young singer who starred in Britain's Got Talent with Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud, has died aged 18 of bone cancer.
The teenager helped the choir reach the final of the ITV talent show, where they eventually finished third.
After battling Ewing Sarcoma for more than a year, he died in his mother's arms after collapsing at home in Cwmbran, South Wales .
His mother Donna told the South Wales Argus “He liked to make people laugh. That was his goal. He had an infectious smile.
“He would put a smile on your face. He was the best son I could have ever had.”
A tribute on the Only Boys Aloud Twitter page read: “We were deeply saddened to hear the news about Ryan. Our thoughts go out to his friends and family.”
Team captain Aled Powys Williams said on Twitter: "A lovely lad. Cysga'n dawel Ryan / RIP Ryan."
