Ariana Grande has taken to her Instagram to pay tribute to her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who tragically passed away last month. The 26-year-old, whose real name Malcolm McCormick was found in his home on 7th September after suffering a cardiac arrest following a suspected overdose.

Although Ariana was engaged to Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson at the time of Mac's death, his loss deeply affected her and is thought to be one of the reasons that she called off her engagement to Pete, who she began dating a few weeks after breaking up with Mac.

After Mac's death, Ariana shared a sweet video of him on her Instagram profile, writing the heartbreaking caption, 'I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will. I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it.

'We talked about this. So many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest.'
