Alex Jones reveals baby boy's name after asking fans for help

TV presenter Alex Jones has revealed the name of her baby boy after asking fans of The One Show for help.

After welcoming her first child with her husband Charlie Thomson back in January, Alex couldn't decide on a name for her little one so asked viewers to send in their suggestions.

They certainly didn't disappoint, within just three minutes the show had received over 1000 suggestions.

Now the 39-year-old has revealed her son's name by posting a photo of his birth certificate to her Instagram page. The name is stated on the certificate as 'Edward Alun Burrell Thomson', with Alex confirming he will be called Teddy for short.

What a lovely name!

Alex revealed to fans she'd given birth back in January by tweeting her delight to her 219,000 Twitter followers. She wrote, 'We are so happy to share the news that our beautiful baby boy was born on Sunday morning. 7lbs 11. Charlie and I are head over heels in love'.

The Welsh presenter then shared an adorable photo of little Teddy's hand to her Instagram page and captioned the shot with, 'My new obsession'.

It seems Alex's experience of child birth was a good one. Speaking on The One Show she said, "It was all very straightforward, Charlie was with me, Mum and Dad were in the waiting room because we didn't know whether it was a boy or a girl. So that was a lovely bit of news."

Alex is yet to share any photos of baby Teddy's face but we bet he's a little cutie! 👶
