Fans of TV drama Line of Duty have been cooing over the latest pic shared by Adrian Dunbar's daughter. Adrian, better known as Ted Hastings in the hit TV show, can be seen holding his baby granddaughter Zephyr. On closer inspection, in a nod to Adrian's on-screen character, the baby girl is wearing a little outfit which says: 'AC-12, Undercover Officer'.

Sharing a trio of pics Madeleine Dunbar captioned her photos: 'Zephyr repping her Grandpop 👏🏻'. In the first two photos Adrian is looking at the camera, with the third pic showing the actor looking lovingly at his little granddaughter as she sleeps.

Fans have been quick to comment on the cute photo, with one saying: 'Very proud Grandad and what a gorgeous girl!!!' and Adrian's co-star Vicky McClure writing: 'Aww adorable pics!! 😍❤️ xxx'.

Another fan account wrote: 'this may be the cutest thing i’ve ever seen!! 😍❤️❤️❤️'. (sic)

It's been nine months since season 6 of Line of Duty wrapped up, and fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a seventh season. Despite nothing being confirmed, Vicky McClure, who plays DI Kate Fleming, recently gave a promising update. Despite telling The Guardian there was no confirmation, she did say: "I think we've all been really honest and said should that happen, we're all game.

"I'll just stick with the guys. I think when it comes to a close, it will be a natural close for us all."

This follows Line of Duty's Martin Compston dropping a hint about a seventh series back in September 2021, when he said: "We genuinely don't take this for granted and who knows, maybe we'll be back again..." as he picked up a Special Recognition Award at the National Television Awards.

While we aren't sure if there will be a seventh season of Line of Duty, it has been revealed that Adrian Dunbar's new detective series, Ridley, has started filming. In the new show, Adrian will play the role of lead character Detective Inspector Alex Ridley, who is retiring from the police after years of dedicated service.

Now take a look at Ted Hastings' best quotes from Line of Duty:
