Actress Dakota Johnson hits outs at 'brutal' ageism in Hollywood
She admits she's worried about her career
Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson has hit out at the 'brutal' ageism in the acting industry.
Speaking to a national magazine she admitted that she's worried about her career, despite only being 26-years-old.
She added for her mother Melanie Griffith and her grandmother Tippi Hedren, who are also actresses, it's much harder.
“Why isn’t my mother in the movies? She’s an extraordinary actress. Why isn’t my grandmother in the movies? This industry is brutal”.
“No matter how tough you are, sometimes there’s the feeling of not being wanted. It’s absurd and cut-throat. Whenever I have downtime, I’m unsure that I will ever work again. I don’t know what it is, but it’s a definite thing that happens to me.”
She's been promoting her new film Black Mass, which stars Johnny Depp as 'Whitey Bulger' - a well-known criminal in the United States.
