5 Seconds of Summer fans have praised Michael Clifford for opening up about his mental health problems while on stage.

The 19-year-old guitarist revealed he had sought help from a therapist during a break in their 'Rock Out With Your Socks Out' tour. He told the audience: "I was fixing some problems with my mental health.

"I just saw a therapist real quick on the break we had. Anyways, I'm going to shut up now. We're gonna play another song if it's OK?"

It was just a quick moment but fans quickly took to Twitter to show their support and admiration that Michael had been willing to address that he was suffering so openly. The hashtag #WeLoveYouMichael and #WeAreHereForYouMichael soon trended worldwide.
