The Chainsmokers win their first GRAMMY "There's no feeling like it"
They won Best Dance Recording
American DJs The Chainsmokers have won their first GRAMMY.
Alex and Drew, collectively known as The Chainsmokers won Best Dance Recording for their single featuring Daya 'Don't Let Me Down'.
After receiving the award on stage they announced the exciting news to their fans on Twitter saying 'WE JUST WON OUR FIRST GRAMMY!!! PACK MAKE SOME NOISE!'
Which received responses from thousands of fans including singer Demi Lovato, and DJs Zedd and Laidback Luke.
Daya also tweeted her excitement at winning the GRAMMY saying, 'still shaking. my first award win ever. this day is a dream.' sic
After a break of a few hours The Chainsmokers then took to Twitter again to say 'This was just the most special moment ever for us!'
Their 2016 single originally fell out of the US charts after just a week, but made an impressive comeback going on to become one of the best performing singles of the year.
Here in the UK the song became the duo's highest performing song at the time reaching number two. ('Closer' released later in the year went to number one.)
The Chainsmokers rose to fame in 2014 with their single 'Selfie' and have become a regular on the festival circuit as well as bagging a highly sought after Las Vegas residency last year.
