10 easy ways to raise £100
To celebrate the launch of our brand new Cash for Kids campaign, 500 Faces, we have pulled together some of our favourite easy ways to fundraise £100!
Bag pack
Bag packing in your local supermarket is a great way to raise money and awareness! It involves very little preparation and can be done as a fun team activity. First of all, you need to gain permission from the supermarket. We can provide you with letter headed paper with an explanation of Cash for Kids and our mission, which you can then give out to your local supermarkets. Make sure you include some dates and address the letter to the store manager. On the day, assign your helpers to a checkout with a donation bucket, speak to customers, pack bags and ask for a small donation - easy!
Bake sale
Get your apron on, pull together some ingredients and bake your favourite sweet treats. Host your bake sale at home, in school, work or in your local community. It’s never hard to find people who love cake so it’s a fantastic fundraiser.
Swear jar
Put your money where your mouth and fill up a swear jar for Cash for Kids! Set up in your office with your team or at home on your own. The concept is simple, put whatever money you have into the jar every time you utter a swear word.
Dress down day
Pay a couple of pounds each to ditch the work gear and dress down for the day. Collect a suggested donation for everyone who wears their comfy clothes and a forfeit donation for those who don’t!
Quiz night
Get your workmates or friends together to pay to play in a Cash for Kids quiz! Everybody loves an opportunity to get together and show off their competitive side. You can even fundraise more on the night by holding a raffle alongside the quiz.
Sell on eBay
Give your house a clear-out and make money at the same time! eBay have a dedicated option which allows you to decide exactly what percentage of the items final selling price you would like to give to charity making it a really easy way to fundraise!
Enter a team into a fundraising event
Why not get your workmates or friends together, challenge yourself and enter an event to raise money for Cash for Kids. It can be anything from a 10K to a fire walk, skydive or marathon!
Coffee morning
Pop the kettle on and get a team of people to bake a couple of cakes. Easy to arrange and set up, invite your friends round and ask them to make a donation in return for a cuppa and a slice of cake!
Race night
A charity race night is an exciting and fun way to raise money and can be organised on a budget. You simply need to purchase a DVD with the races on it to screen on a projector at your local village hall or even in your own home! You can raise money by charging an admission fee and showing off your bookie skills on the night.
