A woman is to stand trial accused of violently attacking a 78-year-old woman in a public library.

Samantha Lee is accused of assaulting pensioner Anne Brown at Dundee's Central Library, in the city's Wellgate Shopping Centre, on November 16 last year.

Prosecutors say she repeatedly kicked the OAP on the body during the incident.

Lee, 40, of Dundee, pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault on summary complaint.

Sheriff Alistair Carmichael set a trial date in May and ordered Lee to attend a pre-trial hearing in April.
